How it works

First we understand the problem. Then we measure.

You do not need to know whether you need a store audit, mystery shopping or KPI analysis. Tell us what you are seeing and what question you need answered.

The process

From a business question to a practical solution.

The depth of the project is adapted to the business. A single independent store does not need the same framework as a national retail network.

01

Tell us what you are seeing

Why is sales not growing? Why do two stores perform differently? Why is the basket weak? Or do you simply feel the store has more potential? We start there.

02

We review what is available

We establish what data exists, how many stores are involved and what can be objectively observed or measured.

03

We design the right review

Store audit, mystery shopping, sales observation, KPI analysis or a sensible combination. We use only what adds value.

04

We observe real operations

We do not only ask whether the salesperson was friendly. We examine the sales process, customer journey and missed opportunities.

05

We explain the result clearly

We show what works, where performance is being lost and which changes can have meaningful business impact.

06

We support improvement

Where needed, we work with the team. We do not simply say “do more cross-sell”; we show how to make it natural and consistent.

07

We re-measure

A later control can check whether agreed changes have reached daily operations and whether performance has improved.

What if the data is limited?

You do not need a perfect system to start measuring.

Many smaller stores have no traffic counter, use multiple tills or cannot produce meaningful salesperson-level reporting. That does not mean performance cannot be examined.

Traffic counter + usable POS

We can work with conversion, transactions, units, basket value and period comparisons.

No traffic counter

Manual traffic sampling during selected periods can provide an observed conversion view.

Only basic till data

Revenue, transactions and units sold already allow several useful performance metrics.

Almost no usable data

Structured observation, customer journey review and audit scoring create a baseline.

A practical example

What would we do for a Hungarian business with two stores?

Starting point

One store performs worse, but nobody can clearly explain why.

There is no traffic counter. The till provides only revenue, transactions and units sold.

1. Observe

We review traffic, customer journey and team activity in both stores during comparable periods.

2. Compare

We connect observations with available till data and identify where the two operations differ.

3. Diagnose

For example, the issue may not be traffic at all: one team may engage fewer customers and make fewer additional recommendations.

What do you receive?

A clear answer about what should change.

We do not overwhelm you with every retail metric. The detailed analysis sits behind a management view that is easy to use.

RETIVORA Score 72/100

We show what works, where the store is losing performance and what should change.

You receive a practical improvement plan that can later be re-measured.

After the report

We do not say “improve sales” and walk away.

If the audit identifies a sales execution issue, development can continue in practice: customer engagement, needs discovery, recommendation, closing and natural basket building.
